Hi and welcome to my windows password recovery blog ! If you are tired of non-working solutions, or even if the free ones that you can find in this very blog did not help, then I am glad you are here and I would strongly suggest you keep reading.
I know where you have been, since it is not fun to have lost / forgotten the needed password, at the very moment that you need it the most. That is why I really appreciated the help that a professional windows password recovery software brought, so that I could get back to work, password reset, within minutes.
So, whatever the reason might be, such as "I recently changed the administrator password Windows 7 because I wanted to stop my son to download so many files" or "I have no windows password recovery CD, floppy, or usb device", or even "I did not set a blank administrator password while installing", don't panic !
Here are the main features of the professional recovery utility that I use and keep handy.
Windows password recovery tool : main features.
First, it comes in with very competitive technologies in password decryption, to recover Windows administrator and user passwords if the password is forgotten, lost or in any case unavailable.
Second, this tool is powerful enough to remove windows passwords of any strength. So in case (unlikely, but who knows!) the cutting-edge technologies in the decryption field did not decipher your sophisticated password, it then changes itself into a process of password removing, which takes several several minutes in worst cases.

Third, many programs for OS password recovery work from a CD/DVD to boot the locked computer. The trouble is, how can you do this if your burning program is on the locked computer ? So this tool has an integrated burner application, that enables users to burn the ISO image file onto CD/DVD, instead of searching assistance from other third-party burners for the burning.
The burning task takes less than a minute and the password recovery process takes even less time (usually)
This characteristic, although understandable, got me annoyed at first, I admit, for I would have like the program to allow itself to be transferred on a usb device to unlock the computer without the burning and the restarting. (see further down)
But once the CD is burnt, in case of another password recovery process, no need to burn it once again.
When the CD is ready, boot (or reboot) from it, launch the program, locate the user name, and process to reset or remove it – all are at ease. This Windows password recovery software is fast and easy to use!
Why do I recommend this windows password recovery utility ?
So now, why I do recommend using it ? Simply because it supports all Windows versions installed on any computers of any hardware configurations of any age ! This saved the life of some family and friend members !
The latest Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000, NT installed on laptops, desktop PCs and servers are all supported.Edit : furthermore, it now supports creating a usb bootable device with any usb stick !
The arrival of win 7 did not save us from knowing about an effective windows password recovery method, since the need for password protection is even higher today.
So in this article, we will explore three ways that could save you time, money, and have you back to work sooner in case you said or heard "I forgot my password". So keep cool, grab some tea or coffee and keep reading !

Windows password recovery for win 7 : the easiest one : use another administrator account
You got it : for this to work, there has to be another administrator account implemented on you computer.
If yes, this is going to be quick, following those steps :
-
log in with the alternate administrator account
-
go to control panel
-
choose user accounts add or remove
-
select the locked administrator account
-
click change or remove the password. Do so.
You are fishihed and … saved, rather quickly I might add.
Windows password recovery not that easy : use a reset password disk.
As the healine says, you forgot windows password, but this time you took the trouble of preparing a floppy or usb reset password disk beforehand.
If so, there are a little more steps than the previous method. Here they are :
-
power on the pc
-
at logon screen, choose the locked account, and type any or no password, then hit enter or click the arrow on the right
-
you are now prompted to input the correct password or use the windows password recovery reset disk
-
choose the latter, have your usb or floppy ready, then click next
-
navigate and select the drive where the recovery disk is located
-
the wizard will then let you change the password, with a confirmation
-
you are done
Windows password recovery longer method : use win 7 installation DVD
The only prerequisite here is that you have a backup image that was generated before you set up your user password. In that case, the DVD install will let you restore the system at this state when your computer was password free. So this is a kind of free recovery program.
In order to achieve that, follow these steps :
-
insert the win 7 installation dvd
-
start your computer from this installation device (make sure you can boot from a cd or dvd. If not, go to the bios and change the settings accordingly)
-
if needed, change language settings and click next
-
choose to repair your computer
-
select a restore point option. This is very cool indeed, because unless you are a totally messy person, all your work will be left untouched. How this will affect the installed software is however another story. At worst, you would have to reinstall them manually.
-
the windows password recovery process will not last very long, less than half an hour in most cases.
Losing a password is nowhere near something cool. However, with the help of those free windows password recovery solutions you have restored your computer with no third party password recovery software … and your peace of mind.
The computer is locked, you have a whole load of work waiting for you and your brain is racing after windows password recovery because you lost that magic word…
If you feel like going
mad and making a fuss, try the three following methods and you might find yourself in a much better position. Those are free windows password recovery procedures.
Windows password recovery exit one.
Very often your pc was given a default administrator account with a blank password while being installed. We are going to login with those parameters. So here are the steps :
-
power on your computer
-
when the windows login shows up, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete twice and it will show a different looking login box
-
enter « Administrator » as the username and leave the password area empty
This method is by far the quickest, but it only works if you did not changed this default administrator account or change the (non existing) password.
Second method for windows password recovery : administrator rights.
This free password recovery way is suitable for computers that are part of a network. You will then use an administrator account and the associated rights to reset your own user password.
In order to do this, here are the steps :
-
login with the network administrator account
-
display the command prompt, using one of the following methods
-
you will then get the black screen window which is the command prompt
-
type « net user » (without quotes) then enter. You will get all the user accounts available
-
select the forgotten password account that you would like its password to be changed
-
now type : net user username * / domain. You will be prompted for a password, and a second time to confirm your new password
-
alternatively, you can type : net user username new_password, for changing the password without being asked to confirm.
Third windows password recovery trick : use the password reset disk
This windows password reset method will use a previously made windows password recovery disk to connect to your computer.
If you did not create such a disk beforehand, and/or you don't have a floppy drive connected (or trick windows to use a usb drive instead), then obviously this cannot work.
So here are the steps :
-
power on the pc
-
at login screen, click on your username
-
you will notice an arrow to the right of the password field. So pick any password or none then click enter or use that arrow.
-
you will then be prompted to either enter the correct password or use the reset disk
-
choose the reset disk option. This will allow you to navigate and pick the drive where your password disk was inputted. So again this implies you have a floppy drive (or virtual floppy – usb) connected to your computer plus you created the needed password recovery disk upfront.
-
if so, the reset wizard will then start and let you create a new password. Again, you will need to confirm.
-
don't forget to choose a valuable new password hint, to save you all unnecessary pain in the future.
-
click next and finish to return to the windows login screen.
Windows password recovery process is over, hopefully with success. Now, get back to work !
